Christmas Lights

The 2007 Event was by far the most hectic, but well-attended and successful event to date. Glasshoughton First School provided excellent entertainment with children between the ages of 4 and 7 singing their hearts out. Our thanks and appreciation goes to the George V Committee and Steward for assisting us in this event and paying for the cost of the DJ, Danny Milo. Music, dancing and games went on until 9.00 p.m. Santa gave out selection boxes to every child who attended. A big thank you to all local businesses who donated raffle prizes, and to those residents who purchased them, without this there would have been insufficient funds to provide prizes and hold future events.

There are currently 2 unclaimed prizes as follows:-Pink 276 – Freeview Box (Asda) / Pink 65 – Signed Cas Tigers Rugby Ball

Either of these prizes can be claimed by providing the ticket to our Chairman Pete Travis (Tel: 01977 557742). Claims can be made up until the 31^st of May 2008.
