Sports Day & Coaching Sessions

Although we were interrupted by rain on several occasions the afternoon went well with children aged between 3 and 16 enjoying the races and fun.

Sponsorship for follow-up sports coaching sessions was obtained from WDH, which once again despite the bad weather proved very popular and provided leisure facilities for local children during the school holidays. Unfortunately one session had to be cancelled because of rain but free tickets for swimming were handed out by the coaches.

The long awaited goal posts were provided via funding from Wakefield Primary Care Trust. These have proved very popular with local children since they were fitted.
