Over the river, to the north of the town centre, is Lock Lane,
an area named after the street that runs through it. Most of the streets off the
lane are terraced with no front gardens.
From Mill Lane there is a good view of the weir on the
river. The left picture is from

On the way into Lock lane is this delightful scrap yard
sculpture (right).
Lock Lane has a centre that is used by the
community. Behind the centre is a beautiful little park with a play area.
