REGENERATION CONTINUES

Following on from the Channel 4 projects, regeneration continues with the environmental works at the former colliery sites of Fryston and Wheldale starting. Mr Edward Bird, who produced around 5,000 photographs of the footbridge construction, has been commissioned by the Castleford Heritage Trust to provide a photographic record of this reclamation project.

One of Mr Bird's latest photographs shows work on the Fryston bullring.

Information about this English Partnership's regeneration project can be found on the Castleford Heritage Trust website.
