Largest CCS plant planned for Castleford Scottish and Southern Energy plc has announced plans to build the country's largest Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) pilot plant at Ferrybridge power station near Castleford. Doosan Babcock Energy Limited and partners will build the 5-megawatt plant at a cost of £21 million. It is planned that the plant be built next year and start operating in 2011. Bus Station Travel Centre under Threat The travel centre at Castleford bus station is planned to be closed now. A new Interchange station is to be built next year but it may not a travel centre.
